Insurance for Drivers Entering Ukraine
Green Card covers the vehicle. This covers you.

Two different documents — you need both
Drivers crossing into Ukraine carry motor liability cover (Green Card or Ukrainian OSCPV) for the vehicle. That policy pays for damage you cause to others — it pays nothing toward your own medical treatment. Personal medical insurance is the second document: it covers emergency care, hospitalisation and evacuation for the driver, and border officers can ask for it just as they ask tourists.
Commercial and humanitarian convoys
For regular routes, per-day pricing keeps repeated short policies cheap — a 3-day round trip is €3.56 with a €2,000 limit, or €5.75 with €30,000. Up to ten people fit on one policy, so a crew can be covered in a single purchase, priced per head.
Routes matter: the contract does not apply in areas of active hostilities, occupied territory, a 50 km band around them, or under a special access regime.
Frequently asked questions
Does this replace Green Card?
No — they cover different things. Green Card is motor liability for the vehicle; this is personal medical cover for you as the driver. Cross-border haulage needs both.
